New Jersey Marriage License
To get married, you need a valid Marriage License. This process can sometimes be unnecessarily complicated. But no worries, I got you!
To obtain a New Jersey Marriage License, you must first (1) book your wedding officiant, (2) pick a date, and (3) book an appointment date with your local registrar’s office.
I recommend applying for your marriage license at least 3 weeks in advance of your wedding. Most marriage licenses are valid for between 30 and 60 days.
The rules and regulations for obtaining your marriage license vary based on the state where you reside, so it is important to contact your local registrar's office to learn more about the requirements for your area.
